Whenever I develop a mental list of the best things about being a small business owner, the ability to choose my co-conspirators and collaborators is near the top. For nearly three years now, the gish&co. network has been assembling mini task forces to do great work on behalf of our clients—but it wasn’t until early this year that we welcomed our first full-time marketing specialist, Sara. And in the spirit of that continued growth and assemblage of awesomeness—I’m psyched to announce we’re growing a bit more: Please welcome our new intern, Andrea Oseland!
I’ve had the honor of working with Andrea on several projects, namely for our clients at the Minnesota Food Charter and Meda—working on issues such as food access, health equity, and minority entrepreneurship and economic opportunity. Andrea’s social justice lens and insatiable appetite for growth and learning are just two of the things that make her an incredible colleague. More than that, her wit keeps us laughing and killer sense of style keeps us inspired.
Here’s a note from AO herself:
Hi! I’m Andrea. I am a recent graduate in the field of marketing, and at this phase of my career I’m excited about flexing different marketing muscles to figure out what my strengths are. I get really excited about marketing strategy, and I am currently working out my copywriting, social media, and content development skills. A majority of my marketing experience has been aligned with social issues that are dear to me – food access, nutrition, and race and gender equality.
My background is in clothing and accessories – purchasing, styling, design and fabrication. I am the mother to a cat-child – Bojangles; and enjoyer of cocktails, coffee, interesting foods, cycling, yoga, and cooking.
Sara and I are so honored to welcome Andrea to the team. She’ll be working with gish&co. part time, and we know you’ll enjoy working with her as much as we do!
