Founded in 1952, Pet Haven is proud to be Minnesota’s first foster-based animal rescue organization. They rescue and re-home dogs and cats, spay and neuter to reduce overpopulation, promote companion animal welfare, and advocate on behalf of companion animals.
A few years ago, Pet Haven’s then-executive director approached gish&co. for help modernizing the brand and updating the website to make it more representative of the organization, improve the user experience, and drive more awareness of the organization.
gish&co. developed a new logo and brand standards, and redesigned and relaunched the website.
Refreshed visual identity
As Minnesota’s first foster-based animal rescue organization, Pet Haven came to gish&co. with a fairly clear understanding of their brand position and role in the community. However, they didn’t have the expertise to create a brand identity that reflected their mission and brand personality, and hired us to design a new logo and brand guidelines that they could use for all marketing moving forward.
Website redesign and development
A professional brand needs a professional website—especially for an organization run primarily by volunteers and without a physical presence. Using web design best practices and leveraging the flexibility of the WordPress platform, we designed and built a new web platform for Pet Haven that integrates with Pet Finder and their volunteer access system, allowing for easy updates and integrations.
Sample work

“My overall experience working with gish&co was a delight. Having limited understanding of how websites are designed and the processes involved, I was so relieved after talking through the steps with Lindsi. I felt in competent hands and confident that Lindsi understood what our organization was looking for, as we were also going through a rebrand. Lindsi provided clear guidance, tons of support, and was always available to take a call or answer an email with a question.”
