Terra Soma equips clients to have the outcomes they want in the communities they care about. They are a woman/Native American owned agency in the Twin Cities (with a satellite office in Washington state) that partners at all scales with government, tribal, non-profit, philanthropic, educational, and private sector organizations–including cross-sector collaborations–to advance the public good.
Since gish&co. was founded, we have partnered with Terra Soma. Their unique expertise and set of relationships in food systems paired with gish&co.’s communications expertise has resulted in collaborations on several client projects over the years.
Minnesota Food Charter
The Minnesota Food Charter is a roadmap designed to guide policymakers and community leaders in providing Minnesotans with equal access to affordable, safe, and healthy food regardless of where they live. For more than four years, gish&co. collaborated with Terra Soma on communications planning and execution for the Minnesota Food Charter; we managed everything from social media strategy to design and event promotional strategy, ensuring that all Minnesota Food Charter Champions felt supported and equipped to make implement Food Charter Strategies in their communities.
Child Hunger Initiative - Second Harvest Heartland
Terra Soma hired gish&co. to collaborate on a project with Second Harvest Heartland’s program staff, helping advance several priorities related to addressing childhood hunger. In partnership with the Second Harvest and Terra Soma teams, gish&co. helped plan and launch No Kid Hungry 833—a child hunger initiative with South Washington County Schools that worked to raise awareness about childhood hunger and connect more kids to more meals.
“gish&co. has contributed a wide variety of services and smarts to many projects for my firm, Terra Soma. Our largest effort together was the Minnesota Food Charter, where we were full partners in crime and collaboration, on a major, multi-year strategic communications campaign. Lindsi is kind-hearted, intelligent, and easy to work with—her work is always on time, on budget, and on point.”
